Join us as a Camp Counselor, or Counselor-In-Training!
Imagine has 4-6 positions open for each of our 7-12yr old camps (Disney's Music & Movies) - 2 or 3 Counselors & 2 or 3 Counselors In Training (CITs) each. There is also 1-2 open CIT spots for Games Assistants/Floating assistants per camp depending on registration numbers.
Applicants must be available to work the entire week of camp: - Disney Music & Movies, Oak Grove United Methodist Church, July 8th-12th. All camp staff must be at our camp location from 8:00 – 3:00 on Monday, 8:30 – 2:30 Tuesday through Friday. All Camp Staff are required to attend the Camp Staff Meeting on Monday, July 1st from 7pm - 8:30pm at Oak Grove United Methodist Church All communication for these positions will be sent to the applicant's email. As a courtesy we will email the guardian's of applicants under the age of 18, informing the guardian of the applicant's application and the general expectations. REFERENCES: Counselors & CIT applicants who have not worked for an Imagine Youth Camp before must have 2 references submitted by April 19th, 2024. Please let us know your reference names below. COUNSELORS: Applicants must be at least 16-years-old by 7/01/24 and have participated in 3 or more sessions of classes or shows in the last 2 years. Counselors are expected to be the "team leader" for a group of 10-15 students (ages 7-12). This means being a role model, reinforcing expectations through reminders and your own actions, leading small group discussions, assisting with rehearsals, and redirecting behaviors when appropriate. COUNSELORS IN TRAINING (CITs) Applicants must be at least 14-years-old by 7/01/24 and have participated in 2 or more sessions of classes/shows in the last 2 years (Imagine). CITS are expected to assist the Counselors in leading a group of 10-15 students (ages 7-12). This means being a role model, reinforcing expectations through reminders and your own actions, assisting leading small group discussions, assisting with rehearsals, etc. |

PROCESS We will begin reviewing submissions for Fall on June 15th, Winter in August 1st, and Spring on September 1st. If you have not worked with Imagine before, we will review your submission here and send you a formal application to apply. This would be followed up with an interview. COMPENSATION All of the roles listed below are compensated via 1099s except for the Producer Role. Directors are contracted for around $1600. Choreographer,Music Director, & Tech Director Roles are contracted for typically around $1,100. Producers are paid an hourly rate equivalent to typically between $1,200-$1,400 per term plus paid sick leave. |
