Classes empower students to develop performance skills and gain confidence.
The Imagine curriculum has clear benchmarks for each class that act as guideposts for students, ensuring they are prepared to move on to the next level of courses. Our Teaching Artists pull from their own wealth of knowledge and experience, and utilize resources like Drama Notebook, to supplement the curriculum and meet the exact needs of our students.
We believe that students learn best through "doing". Because of this, Imagine Theatre emphasizes movement, projects, and active learning in all of our classes. While there is lecture time in every class, it is expected that it is kept to a minimum. Teaching Artists empower students to take ownership of their own learning through personalized lessons and in-class leadership opportunities.
Imagine Classes are for everyone! We actively accommodate the unique needs of each student, and work with families and our community to consistently refine classes and the class experience.
Classes are for those 7-18 years old, regardless of ability level. 7 year olds must have previously been in an Imagine Theatre Youth Camp to join classes.

Intro to Drama
Description: Get ready to unleash your inner actor and take center stage! In this high-energy Intro to Drama course, you'll discover the magic of acting, improv, and storytelling. We'll play games, create characters, and bring stories to life in a supportive and encouraging environment.No experience necessary - just a willingness to take risks, be creative, and have a blast! By the end of the course, you'll have gained confidence, made new friends, and discovered the joy of performing! Ages: 7-18 Prerequisites: None! Teaching Artist: Rory Stewart |

Tap 101
Description: Whether this is your first tap class, or your 3rd, this class will allow students dive deeper intro their skill and craft. Ages: 8-18 Prerequisites: Basic/prior dance experience Teaching Artist: Kristin Barrett |

Musical Theatre Spotlight: Sondheim
Description: The musical theater lexicon is full of diverse composers who have shaped the sounds and inspired the sights of what we know as Broadway today. This class brings the spotlight to the composers who have made a big impact on the beauty of the stage and created the melodies that are embedded in our hearts. This class will focus on the works of Stephen Sondehim, covering their works and significance to the musical theater genre. All classes are from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday Evenings.
Course Requirements
Breaks
Students have a 15-minute break at 7pm. During this time students may eat a snack (that they may bring), build community with their peers, participate in group games when coordinated, discuss the character-trait of the term, etc.
Showcase
Each of our classes performs a short 5-10 minute showcase on the last class, demonstrating what they have learned throughout the class. All are welcome to attend the showcase. We ask those who attend to stay and watch/support each class.

- First Class: Sept. 9th
- Last Class: Nov. 4th
- Showcase: Nov. 4th, 7:30pm
- No Class On Oct. 21st Due to Pro-Workshop Event. See Pro-Workshop page for more info.
Course Requirements
- Tap 101: Those registering for Tap 101 are required to provide their own tap shoes. Imagine has a limited supply of Tap shoes that may be borrowed - reach out to [email protected].
- MT Spotlight: Sondheim - Students in this class are required to have taken prior acting &/or singing courses or have comparable experience.

Students who are registered for a class receive the following perks if they audition for the production that term:
Health & Safety: Imagine Theatre strives to keep everyone within our community safe at all times.
By registering/participating in Imagine Theatre courses, students agree to follow all rules and guidance outlined in the Imagine Theatre Expectations, Code of Conduct, & Dress Code.
Productions:
Students who are registered for a class receive the following perks if they audition for the production that term:
- $30 off the Production Fee
- Students in Imagine classes will not be cut from productions should there be more auditionees than capacity allows. If a production experiences cuts during the audition process, the registration cost for those in both class and the show is non-refundable and dropping the course is not permitted since the class registration was used to secure the student's spot. Future casting and registration abilities will be limited if youth/families register/pay for a course and do not show up or miss more than the 2 courses.

- Masking is optional, but may be required depending on guidance and regulation.
- COVID19 vaccinations are highly encouraged but not required.

- Explore the options! Select the courses below to see the Class Title, Class Description, Age Restriction, Class Prerequisites, the Teaching Artist, & More!
- You Found The One! Once you have found the class you like, and that you are able to take, then select "Register" on the bottom right hand side.
- Registering For More Than One Class? From here, families can either go add additional courses to their purchase or you may continue on.
- Ready to Complete the Purchase! Once ready, be prepared with the following information, as the system will walk you through each of the following steps for each student you are registering:
- Discount Code (Make sure to write down any discount code you are wanting to use! See them below)
- Student Name, Birthdate, & Medical Information
- Emergency Contact Information
- Insurance Information (Highly Encouraged, but Optional)

*Imagine Theatre utilizes Ludus for registration, Ludus charges a separate service fee per transaction. This fee is not paid out to, nor managed by, Imagine Theatre

Scholarships
We know that some in our community may be experiencing financial hardship or general financial pressures. If you would benefit from financial assistance (partial/full scholarships, payment plans, etc.) please see our scholarship opportunities below. It is our goal at Imagine Theatre to never turn away a student(s) because of an inability to pay tuition. Families that are interested in payment plans are encouraged to consider our Deposit Method option outlined above.

Fee/Payment Options
- Standard Class Fee: $240*
- Deposit Fee:
- $82* due at time of registration (30% deposit plus $10 Deposit Method Fee).
- Remaining $168* (70%) is due before showcase on Nov. 4th. Families can break this amount into separate payments and select the dates they would like to make the payments. All payments are due before showcase on Nov. 4th.
- Details: If the remaining balance is not paid on time, Imagine Theatre reserves the right to restrict registration for other programs until balance is paid.

- Early Bird Discount - EARLY20 - Register before August 26th and receive $20 off each registration!
- Multi-Student Discount - MULTI10 - Receive 10% off when you register 2 or more students!
- New Student Discount - NEW10 - New students/families get $10 off the total registration!
