Dearest Imagine Community,
A “Note From The Executive Director” certainly has a negative connotation, so let me immediately say that this is not one of those. Instead, I have found myself exceptionally full of joy & optimism for our young organization during these past six months and I think far too often moments of joy are quickly passed over or are not shared publicly. As an organization that was founded with the goal to be made for community, I want to let you know that while there is always work to be done there is MUCH to be excited about and celebrate as we near our third (3!) birthday as an organization..
Please read below to join myself, staff, and the Board in celebrating the goodness that is occurring! |
Grants
In these past 6 months Imagine has received TWO grants!
In these past 6 months Imagine has received TWO grants!
- A $2.5K grant from the Clackamas County Arts Coalition for investment into our Costumes/Costume Rental Program. These funds have/will help purchase much needed costume supplies, storage bins, inventory tags, new hangers, etc. Huge thanks to Rose Thoman for her work on this grant.
- A $21K grant from Mercy Corps Northwest in partnership with Clackamas County’s Office of Equity & Inclusion. These funds will be spent over the course of two years on a wide range of items/areas: microphone purchases, increase in paid staffing hours, new/expanded staff positions, marketing/development support, program scholarship funds, staff development & community connection.
New Partnership
Imagine Theatre is excited to be partnering with the Oregon Episcopal School (OES) to be offering after-school classes to their students. Imagine’s & OES’s values align in many areas including their goal to love and affirm all students, their quality & depth of education, and their goal to share about the expansive and radical love of God. This new partnership will be overseen by our new/updated staff position - Education Coordinator. |
Staffing Updates
Imagine is excited to announce two staffing updates.
Imagine is excited to announce two staffing updates.
- Production Coordinator - We are thrilled to announce Kim Wallace as our Production Coordinator (revised title for our Producer/Show Coordinator) for the whole 23/24 programming year. For the past 3 years Imagine has been blessed by quite a few talented Producers/Show Coordinators who would rotate with each show. We are excited to have Kim Wallace take on this updated/expanded position as it will provide our community with much needed stability and continuity between our shows from term to term and the overall program.
- Education Coordinator - We previously posted on social media about the updated/expanded position of Education Coordinator (open for applications!) which will oversee the new partnership with OES, be the on-site lead for our Monday night classes, and be the admin lead for all educational programs.

Organization Outlook
As stated at the beginning of this letter, I am very optimistic about the direction we are heading here at Imagine. Our community is growing, long held goals are starting to bloom, and we are starting to see some fruit of much labor from the past 3 years.
While I certainly know that there is more planting, growing, tending to do, I do hope you will join us in celebrating all the goodness as we approach our 3rd birthday as an organization.
Please join me in praying for guidance and wisdom as we step into the next programming season.
If you feel led to financially give, the single best way to financially support is through recurring monthly donations. This support helps us be financially sustainable, expand programs, and maintain (or even reduce) current fee structures.

Finally, I want to personally thank each and every one of you.
Whether you are a student, a parent, a Director on the Board, an artistic team member, a Teaching Artist, a staff member, a patron, a donor, or a general supporter - you each have played a critical role getting Imagine to where we are today. The work you do in supporting Imagine is seen and so deeply appreciated.
I chose the three pictures above because their essence represents the core of Imagine - community, family & down right silly fun ❤️
I sincerely hope that you continue to help shape the success of Imagine because you are each a deeply loved part of this community and family.
With much love & excitement,
